All riders are required to wear a mask when in common areas, including vetting. All attendees and guests will be subject to a temperature check upon arrival, and anyone with an above-average temperature will not be allowed onto the premises.
Camp Boggy Creek is a children's camp with a large barn and arena, we are responsible for leaving the grounds in excellent condition for the next group of campers. No arrivals before 10:00 AM on Friday. Primitive camping is available for no additional fee, and you must provide your own horse containment. Dogs okay must be on a leash at all times, and you must pick up after your pet. There are no electrical hookups available.
Hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies will be readily available. Two bathrooms are located in the barn, and the bunkhouses feature bathrooms and showers available for anyone to use. The bunkhouses are several hundred yards away.
8 stalls (sold out), 3 pasture shelters, and 1 paddock (sold out) are available for a fee. They are based on first-come, first-served registration and are held for 3 days to allow your payment to be received.
Anyone renting a stall must bring their own shavings and then thoroughly clean and broom sweep. Pasture shelters are not enclosed; you must enclose with your own electric fencing.
Primitive campers must provide their own horse restraint system.
Lodging in the quaint bunkhouses (several hundred yards away) is available for an additional fee. The bunkhouses will be designated as women's and men's and feature at least 12 beds per building. Please social distance in the bunkhouses. You must bring your own sheets, pillows, and towels.
Dinner will NOT be served. All riders are responsible for providing their own meals. Coffee will be available on Saturday morning at 6:00 AM. Grab and go grilled cheese sandwiches will be offered on Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Sanctioning - Autumn Gallop to Benefit Camp Boggy Creek is sanctioned by AERC, SERA, and SEDRA.
Distances - 14-mile introductory ride, 30-mile Limited Distance, and 50-mile Endurance will be offered.
Vetting - Vetting takes place between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Friday afternoon. Any riders that wish to vet in the morning of the ride must advise the ride manager at least two days prior, and you must present horse for vetting 1 hour prior to ride start time. All persons in the vetting area must wear a mask and/or social distance.
Trails - Camp Boggy Creek is adjacent to Seminole State Forest, and riders will enjoy the lovely forest trails. We'll also cross over into the Wekiva trails. Once again, Jackie and Stephen Baker and Fran Wohnsigl and friends will do an awesome job marking the trails.
Trail Conditions - The ride largely consists of one and two-track trails through the lovely forest. You will go along gravel roads in a few areas, and there is generally a grassy space on the sides sufficient for barefooters. However, super tender hooves may need protection.
Helmets - All riders are required to wear helmets when mounted. No exceptions.
